Line of Descent

It's 1990. Sherri and Willy’s already volatile marriage is torn apart when their son Jack, nearing seventeen and needing their permission to enlist early in the Marines, wants to volunteer for the conflict heating up in the Middle-East. Willy, bent on keeping Jack from following in his guilt-soaked Vietnam footprints, clashes with CW, Jack’s patriotic, veteran’s day parade marching grandfather. Souls and secrets are exposed as Sherri tries to negotiate this battleground and do what’s right for herself and her son. Though dealing with serious subjects, the play is shot through with offbeat humor and even the aquarium holds a secret.
